Five thousand people gathered from seven countries at the Brain Art Festival at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. There they were inspired to change their lives and the world for the better by utilizing the brain’s infinite potential for health, happiness, and creativity.

ECOSOC Event on Mental Health and Global Public Health

As part of a series of United Nations meetings held in Geneva, Switzerland, an event called “Promoting Mental Health in the Context of Global Public Health” was held on July 6, 2009. UN officials, public health experts, and preeminent neuroscientists gathered to discuss mental health issues as they relate to the development agenda, the interrelationship of mental health and global public health, cost-effective interventions, and global partnerships in the promotion of mental health.

Brain Education for Human Development Workshop at the UN

The Brain Education for Human Development Workshop was held at the United Nations in celebration of ‘Brain Awareness Week’. It was hosted by the International Brain Education Association (IBREA) in partnership with the Dana Foundation. The event was also held in celebration of the launching of the Brain World magazine.
