International Brain Education Conference
12/31/2005

Held annually during the International Brain HSP Olympiad since 2005, the International Brain Education Conference brings together leaders of governmental and nongovernmental organizations, educators, neuroscientists, and other specialists to present new ideas and findings on how to better apply our brain potential.

In 2008, the Fourth International Brain Education Conference convened at the United Nations. Hosts of the Conference were the Korea Institute of Brain Science (KIBS) and the International Brain Education Association (IBREA). Co-Sponsors were the NGO Section of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the Committee on Education of the Conference of NGO’s in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations, and the Korean Ministry of Science, Education, and Technology.

Nearly 500 participants from eight countries were impressed by the presentations on the brain and education including that of Mr. Ilchi Lee, Dr. Antonio Damasio, Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, H.E. Ambassador Raymond Wolfe from Permanent Mission of Jamaica, and Ms. Helen-Marie Gosselin.

Since then, the International Brain HSP Olympiad & Brain Education Conference has remained at the United Nations, with the fifth being held in August 2009.
