Brain Education for Poverty and Welfare Meeting at the United Nations

Yesterday I attended a meeting at the United Nations headquarters in New York City hosted by the International Brain Education Association (IBREA). The focus of the meeting was Brain Education for poverty and welfare. The recent work of IBREA with schoolchildren in El Salvador has demonstrated the Brain Education principle that if your brain is healthy, all areas of your life improve. If many people have healthy brains, we can improve our society and the conditions on earth.

South-South News reported on the event on their website. This news outlet “is an initiative launched in February 2010 … to advance the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through the sharing of best practices in … Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. South-South News is a digital media platform for the countries of the South that is facilitating, connecting, and publishing news on various efforts in sustainable economic and social development to audiences and multiple constituencies not only in the South but also around the world.”
