Sedona Story and Mago Cafe Officially Open to Share the HSP Vision with Sedona

The grand opening of Sedona Story Coffee House & Gathering Place, 1st floor, and re-opening of Mago Café, Korean and American cuisine, 2nd floor, was celebrated with VIP speeches, ribbon cutting ceremony, and traditional Korean performances, and Korean lunch for the more than 100 guests, at the 207 North Highway 89A building, Sedona, Arizona, December 7, 2007. With Sedona's very large annual number of sunshine days, the rain and wind visible outside Mago Café's wall of windows was deemed a lucky sign, given Sedona's great need for rain.

 
Weekly Chosun Magazine (South Korea) Interviews Ilchi Lee on His Past, Present and Future

Weekly Chosun, one of the largest weekly magazines in South Korea, interviewed Ilchi Lee for its November 20, 2007, edition. Here is the translation of excerpts of the interview, conduced by chief editor Chun-suk Kang.

Ilchi Lee, president of University of Brain Education, has been recognized as a CEO and peace leader. He says, “I put Hak [meaning study in Korean] after Dahn [meaning bright energy in Korean], because the body-mind health system is a field of study. The Korean Institute of Brain Science, which he founded, has been approved as an NGO (non-governmental organization) in consultative status by the United Nations ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council).

 
Ilchi Lee Lectures on Brain Education to Hyundai Educational Institute

To an audience of 500 professors and staff, Ilchi Lee delivered a lecture entitled, “The Prospect of Future Education, and the Alternatives Presented by Brain Education,” at Ulsan College, Ulsan City, South Korea, November 28, 2007.

 
Lecture and Concert Celebrate Ilchi Lee's Book on Walking

In honor of Ilchi Lee's new book, Walking To Save My Life: Jangsaeng Walking, a celebration "Lecture & Concert to Become 10 Years Younger" was held at the Seoul Plaza Hotel, Seoul, South Korea, November 21, 2007. This book explains Jangsaeng Walking, a method which Ilchi Lee developed while healing his own back after falling off a horse. Published in May 2007, the Korean book has sold about 130,000 copies up to now.

 
Special Lectures on Brain Education with Dr. Makoto Shichida

University of Brain Education, of which Ilchi Lee is the president, hosted Special Lectures on Brain Education with Dr. Makoto Shichida on November 9, 2007. The event began with an address by Dr. Shichida, who created the Right Brain Development Program used by the Shichida Child Academy. His program targets improvements in speed reading and memory, but he stressed that its purpose ultimately is to discover the harmonious human character latent in the brain through right-brain development.
