Book Review: 500-1500 words. Book reviews should be posted on amazon.com and then submitted as your entry.
Prose: 500-1500 words
Poetry: One poem
Art Work: Illustrations, paintings, photos...
Performance: send digital recording; can include dances, skits, etc.
Music: 1 recorded song in digital format
All categories except the Book Review do not need to refer to the In Full Bloom book itself. Express your creative thoughts and ideas on the theme of "successful aging".

Ilchi.com and Best Life Media (publisher of In Full Bloom: A Brain Education Guide for Successful Aging) introduce the Living in Full Bloom Contest: A Celebration of Successful Aging to celebrate the spirit of living your life to the fullest at every age that is conveyed in the book. In Full Bloom describes concrete Brain Education tools that help everyone create joy, health, happiness, peace, and confidence for themselves. These tools and concepts allow your true inner self to come out. Use this contest to share your revived creativity and joy of living. Through various media, including writing, artwork, video, and music, express your own thoughts, feelings, and inspiration about aging successfully!
JUDGMENT CRITERIA AND PROCESS
All submissions will be displayed on Ilchi.com as they are submitted (post mail entries will be slightly delayed). Submissions will be opened for voting during the voting period from May 24, 2008 – June 1, 2008. Group entries and individual entry in each category will be judged separately. Public votes will account for 50 % of the final winner decision. Choices by Best Life Media and Ilchi.com staff will account for the other 50 % to ensure fairness.
The judgment criteria are:
- Creativity
- How well the work was executed
(quality of the work & ability of the artist)
- How effectively the artist communicates the concept of successful aging
- How much the work touches or inspires its audience
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Submissions must be in English.
The contest is open to Dahn members and non-Dahn members in the US and Canada.
All submissions must include contact information (full name, address, phone number, Dahn Yoga Center name if applicable, Ilchi.com username, and email address if possible)
All submissions must be received by email, post mail, or through Ilchi.com (for lengthy video submissions) by midnight on May 23, 2008.
