10th Anniversary Festival, for Dahn Yoga Members Print E-mail

Ilchi Lee speaks at Sedona Mago Retreat CenterThe Sedona Mago Retreat Center in Sedona, Arizona held a “Tao Festival” celebrating its 10th Anniversary recently from the evening of July 3, 2008, through Sunday morning, July 6, 2008. Following the anniversary celebration for the general public held on May 25, 2008, this three-day event combined discussion, lectures, training, and fun for Dahn Yoga Center members.

The main participants were a Sedona Meditation Tour group from South Korea, graduates of the Dahn Healing System, young adults who are part of the Young Earth Human Alliance (YEHA), and young participants in the Journey to Sedona program (a program through which Korean students come to the Sedona Mago Retreat Center to study American culture and English as a second language). Dahn masters also joined some of the events, bringing the group to almost 300 people.

Ilchi Lee was present for the event, and he gave two lectures during the festival, one on Friday and one on Saturday before leaving for Japan. In addition to the lectures, festival participants enjoyed physical training and meditation. They visited Sedona vortex Cathedral Rock, and they also did Brain Wave Vibration underneath the stars at the retreat center on Friday night. Saturday night brought the final celebration before wrapping up the next day. Different groups gave dance and skit performances, and Master Sun Poon, a traditional Korean music expert on a special visit from South Korea, led rhythmic dancing and drumming. A cake with sparkling cider and a candlelight meditation outdoors rounded out the evening.

The theme of the festival was using Brain Education to find and live the highest principle inside oneself, and then sharing it with others to create harmony among all people. In Korean this principle is called ChunHwa, and uncovering it is the most significant benefit of Brain Education according to its founder, Ilchi Lee.

I really like the Tao philosophy of "love for humanity and love for the earth." :-) HSP Wayne

I was one of the lucky people who attended the Tao Festival. I am a member of the Healer group and we had a great time. When we were with the combined group of Healers, YEHA and the Korean Meditation tour the energy was truly monumental! I love being around all the young people and their enthusiasm for life. They are the hope of the world! smilies/grin.gif
