On October 28, 2002, the City of Atalanta declared it to be Ilchi Lee Day. On the fifth anniversary of that day, in Grant Park on a beautiful sunny day, 150 Dahn Yoga Center members, parents, teachers and children participated in the HSP Walk to celebrate the occasion. In the United States Ilchi Lee Day has been designated by nine other cities in recognition for his founding Dahn Yoga and Brain Education and their contributions toward health, happiness, and peace in these cities, across the U.S., and around the world.

The celebration began with a percussion performance from students of The Children's School, which has teachers trained in the Brain Education workshop. In this workshop, teachers learn how to implement in the Brain Education workshop. In this workshop, teachers learn how to implement the principles and activities of Brain Education into their classes. The next performing group of Dahn Yoga children and adults did a DahnMuDo martial arts demonstration.
Heart of Hope Academy, an Atlanta-based school for children with special needs, will be the recipient of money raised through the HSP Walk.
The HSP Walk was an interactive experience for all participants. It incorporated the core elements of HSP: Health, walking to develop physical power and youthful energy; Smile, happiness and laughing to find emotional serenity; and Peace, an opportunity to connect with Nature to find peace within. Participants enjoyed learning how easily they can incorporate HSP into Jangsaeng (Longevity) Walking, a method to enhance greater health and longer life.
