Ilchi Lee lectured in Hawaii on Brain Wave Vibration and Successful AgingIlchi Lee’s recent visit to Hawaii May 30-31, 2008 was marked by three successful events, and kicked off his summer book tour with a bang.

Ilchi Lee recognized by the Mayor of HawaiiThe first was a lively meeting between Ilchi Lee and the Mayor of Honolulu, Mufi Hannemann. The Mayor signed a proclamation to designate May 30, 2008 as Ilchi Lee Day, in recognition of Lee's important contributions to the health, happiness and peace of the local community. In a ceremony at City Hall, Ilchi Lee received the official proclamation document from Mayor Hannemann.

The main contribution cited in the proclamation is how Lee’s Brain Education system and his new Brain Wave Vibration (BWV) method have improved the quality of life of many Honolulu citizens during the past 15 years. Currently, over 1,000 Honolulu citizens are learning Brain Education at six senior community centers, Queens Medical Center and Aiea Community School.

Dahn Foundation activities in Hawaii Lee shared his goal to spread Brain Education in Hawaii, and promote the health, happiness and peace of the state’s citizens. He invited the Mayor to visit him in South Korea on his next trip. In response, the Mayor presented Lee with a CD of the Mayor singing. Receiving this gift, Lee then asked the Mayor if he would sing right there in City Hall, and was rewarded with a beautiful Hawaii song.

At the second event, May 31, Lee spoke on Brain Wave Vibration at a public lecture in the Honolulu City Hall. The event opened with a traditional Hawaiian blessing called an Oli, powerful and touching, enabling the more than 200 people in the audience to feel more energy coming into the auditorium.

The audience was engaged and intrigued by Ilchi Lee's lecture on Brain Wave VibrationIn his lecture, Lee emphasized the importance of waking up the right hemisphere of the brain. He showed a video clip of Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, a brain scientist who gained deep insight into the power of her right brain after suffering a left-brain stroke.

Lee led the participants in experiencing BWV, and emphasized that BWV is the best way to wake up the right brain, leading to brain mastery. The audience was thrilled as Lee guided them through an expressive dance, or Dahn Mu, to the song “Reflections of Passion” by the musician Yanni.
