Representing Ilchi Lee – as the guiding force of the business units in Sedona that share the same Health, Happiness and Peace vision and values – Larry Rosenberg, Director of Communication, BR Consulting, Inc., met with the newly elected Mayor of Sedona, AZ, the Honorable Rob Adams, at his City Hall office, June 19, 2008.
Lee’s letter to the Mayor Adams stated: “I want to warmly congratulate you on becoming the new Mayor of Sedona. I wish you every success in using your leadership to take the City of Sedona in thriving directions – especially regarding the preservation and enhancement of our unique and beautiful environment, and the needs of the constituencies that make up our special community.”
“I sense you have strong commitments, clarity of vision and values, and the creative energy to make Sedona an even better place to live, do business, and visit in the years ahead,” Lee continued. “You have all of my colleagues’ and my own best wishes and support for your initiatives as Mayor.”
The 20-minute meeting with Mayor Adams was informal, which is his preferred style. Besides Lee’s congratulatory letter, Rosenberg presented the Mayor with a description of the networked business units in Sedona, an American-style bonsai plant, an autographed copy of Lee’s recent book In Full Bloom, and the DVD of Lee’s “Brain Education for Successful Aging” lecture at the Sedona Public Library in February.
The Mayor’s and Rosenberg’s conversation touched on several topics, including the successful Sedona Mago Retreat Center 10th Anniversary, Brain Education for Successful Aging workshops in Sedona, the Mayor’s high priority to make Sedona a more sustainable city, his interest in touring Mago Retreat, support for Sedona Dahn Yoga exercise classes for city employees, and his own acknowledged need for yoga to regain flexibility and reduce job stress. He closed the cordial meeting with a request for new and specific ideas for projects to better the City of Sedona.
