World Korean Association Appoints Ilchi Lee as a Co-chairperson |

According to the Seoul Economy newspaper, Ilchi Lee was among this year's distinguished persons initiated into the World Korean Association as co-chairpersons, in Seoul, November 4, 2007. As the president of the University of Brain Education (South Korea), he was chosen because of his contribution to promoting the research and education for brain performance and potential enhancement. At the Seoul Olympic Park, 10,000 people gathered to celebrate the projects and officials of the Association.
The purpose of the World Korean Association is to advance the prosperity of South Korea, at home and abroad. It is comprised of 300 Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and celebrities. Its major projects currently include: (1) Creating the World Korean Era Forum, a gathering of intellectuals who address Korea's Future in the 21st Century. (2) Establishing the Korean Historical Park, a place to tell Korea's history as a way to revive its core identity. (3) Strengthening the World Korean Youth Education, to increase the opportunities and benefit the quality of educational experience.
At the event, there were performances of the Taegeuk Dance, traditional Korean martial arts demonstrations, and a famous singer.
