Communicate with Your Group

Once you have joined or created a group, you can communicate with other group members.

Step 1 Click on the group name. This will take you to the main page for your group. Below the group information you will see sections for Newest Members and Latest Bulletin. On the right you will see sections for Group Manager and Group Activities (and Managers Tasks if you created the group).

Step 2 In the Group Activities section, click on Group Bulletin. This is where you can read other people's bulletins to the group members (click on them in the list), and write comments in reply. You can also write your own bulletin.

Create a New Group

Step 1 Log in to your account, or register if you haven't already.

Step 2 Click on the Create your OWN Group! link here or below.

Step 3 Enter a group name, and something about the group if you want. Choose the appropriate category, and decide if the group will be open, by approval, or by invitation only. To personalize things, you can upload a small picture for the group listing. Click on Submit.

Manage Your New Group

Review the items on the right side of your screen now in the Managers Tasks and Group Activities sections.

  • Email Group Manager -- send email to the member who runs the group, usually the group creator

Manager's Tasks

  • ACTIVATE pending users -- if you made the group membrship by approval or by invitation
  • EDIT group settings -- edit the information you provided when you created the group
  • EMAIL all in group -- send email to all group members
  • TRANSFER to new owner -- pass on management of the group to another member
  • DELETE this group -- remove the group from the system (does not delete members' accounts)

Group Activities

  • Group Members -- view members and see who is online
  • Group Bulletins -- write a bulletin for everyone in the group, or read others' bulletins.
  • Return to Group -- return to the main page for the group

Please note that Group Bulletins are publicly posted. If you want to write more privately, please use your blog (journal) and check off the box for "private" posting. Contact us with questions or comments.

OOPS! Hit the wrong key! Anyway, my goal for this 21 day was to continue to not eat sugar, chocolate and bad carbs, like white bread, cookies, etc. I continue to hold the 8-9 lb weight release, am smaller by 1/2 to 3/4 inch in several measurements. This has been a very challenging week, as all my monthly meetings are the second week of the month and ALL were Holiday parties of some sort.  Difficult to not eat some goodies.

The steps I set for myself to accomplish this goal was to walk 3 times a week, walk an extra time if frustrated or hungry and journal daily. Haven't walked at all, but have either journaled every day or caught up if a day was missed. Last week was a disaster, as I didn't journal all week - mostly fell into bed exhausted late at night.

I've discovered that my frustration comes from setting too many goals and deadlines that are unreasonable to reach in the time allotted to them. I was able to easily let projects fall away undone this last weekend and not feel guilty, frustrated or complain about it. Much easier to just let go of things that I would otherwise have fussed to death about. I think learning Dahn Mu Do has also helped with the letting go process.
