Swimming Pool for Peace Completion Ceremony

A “Swimming Pool for Peace” was inaugurated in a Completion Ceremony on October 17, 2012. The pool was community project and was built in Distrito Italia, El Salvador, a community in one of the most dangerous areas in El Salvador. Fund to build the pool were raised by the International Brain Education Association through donors primarily in the United States, Japan, and South Korea.

On January 12, 2012, the International Brain Education Association (IBREA), who hosted a panel on poverty and welfare at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. They invited four panelists to speak: UNDP’s (United Nations Development Program) chief economist for Latin America, George Molina; New York University Professor Joseph Ledoux, author of Synaptic Self: How Our Brains Become Who We Are, and The Emotional Brain: The Mysterious Underpinnings of Emotional Life; Ilchi Lee, who is president and founder of IBREA; and Dan G. Pavel, MD, Director of PathFinder Brain SPECT (Single-photon Emission Computed Tomography) at the Neuroscience Center in Deerfield, Illinois.

On August 20, 2011, Ilchi Lee launched his latest book, The Call of Sedona: Journey of the Heart at an event at the Sedona Creative Life Center. Shondra Jepperson, who emcee’d the event, asked Mr. Lee to play the flute, and he happily obliged with the flute built into his walking stick.

Ilchi Lee launched his latest book, The Call of Sedona (BEST Life Media, 2011), at the Sedona Creative Life Center on August 20, 2011. In addition to signing copies of the book, Ilchi Lee gave a talk, which has been divided into three parts. Through his talk, Ilchi Lee hoped to convey the special message Sedona has for all of us, if only we open our minds to perceive it.
