The 13 Virtues of Benjamin Franklin

Recently I read Benjamin Franklin’s autobiography. I admire his ongoing quest for personal development. When he was just 20 years old, he decided the goal of his life was to cultivate his character; to that end, he developed and followed a list of 13 virtues. He followed this plan for the attainment of moral perfection in some form for the rest of his life. Ben admitted that he was never able to live the virtues perfectly, but he felt he had become a better and happier man for having made the attempt.
