5 Ways to Be Fortunate and Happy

Building Muscle
I just arrived in South Korea after finishing my U.S. tour for my new film, CHANGE: The LifeParticle Effect, and its companion books. I’m always developing myself and looking for new ways to help others do the same. Lately I’ve focused on building my muscles and improving my physical condition. I do short bursts of exercise throughout the day rather than long periods spread out over the week. From this process of physical development, I’ve had many awakenings. I’ve realized we need to pay attention to just 5 things to be happy and fortunate in our lives.

5 ways to be fortunate and happy:

1. Be industrious.
Keep busy and active and work hard. Without action, you cannot create anything.
This includes what you do with your body. The quantity of muscle you have is proportionate to the extent of your happiness. When you build muscle, you build the stamina and health you need to achieve your dreams and weather any storm. You don’t need to look like a body-builder—just be a fit and healthy version of yourself.

2. Be diligent and sincere.
If you are diligent, you develop muscle, and if you are lazy, you develop fat. When muscle forms, fat runs away. When fat appears, muscle flees. Just like in your body, with diligence you can overcome any habits that are holding you down and making you lose confidence and be unhappy. You steadily work toward what you want in life. Even if your body type is not a stick figure, with industriousness and sincerity you can be able to bounce out of your chair with pep, move your body freely, and have an active life.

3. Be humble.
When you are humble, you hold yourself accountable for everything. By doing so, you find the strength to solve problems. Otherwise, you blame others and live with resentment. Harboring resentment is a technique for making unhappiness.

4. Be grateful.
Gratitude goes hand-in-hand with humility. When you are grateful for every circumstance, every person, and especially life itself, you become humble and remove the illusion of separation between yourself and everything else. When you are grateful for what you already have, it’s easy to be happy and to attract fortune and blessings to yourself.

5. Be an effective time manager.
When you are industrious and sincere you want to use every moment of your time well. However, to do that, you need to Watch how you use your time carefully. Are you using it effectively or wasting it? Keep track of whether your actions support your happiness and goals.

Industriousness, sincerity, humility, gratitude, and effective time management are the core skills for developing a constitution of health, happiness, and peace. Not only is happiness proportionate to your muscle mass, it is also proportionate to your hard-working and sincere attitude, your humble and grateful mind, and your ability to manage time effectively.

Put these 5 characteristics into practice in order to grow, to receive good fortune, and to complete your soul’s development. By following them, you can become happy and successful and make many great contributions to society.

Through industriousness, sincerity, humility, gratitude, and effective time management, let us all develop a constitution for receiving blessings and create our days happily!
